CREAM-FILLED PEARS

Ingredients
• 6 large, plump pears
• 1 cup water
• 1 cup granulated sugar

For cream
• 2 packages powdered topping mix and
2 cups milk
• 1 t. cinnamon

For decorating
• ½ cup chopped walnuts, hazelnuts or
almonds, or even pistachios.

For chocolate sauce
• 125 g. dark or milk chocolate
• 1/3 cup milk

Preparation
Peel pears, cut in two and core. In large saucepan place pears side by side, cored-side up. Sprinkle sugar over pears, pour water from side of pan and cook, covered, over medium heat for at least 12 minutes. The pears must become nice and soft, but not mushy. Remove from heat and let cool.

While pears are cooking, in deep bowl whip powdered cream and milk until firm, and don’t forget to add cinnamon. Immediately put in refrigerator and let chill. Break chocolate into pieces and put in small saucepan, add milk and let chocolate melt slowly over low heat. And now the last step: Place pears on serving plates. With a small spoon carve out core so that there is enough room for whipped cream. Mash the removed portion and fold into whipped cream. Now fill cavities with whipped cream mixture. Then pour hot melted chocolate on this creamy part and on pear. Serve cold.
